Mind Mapping Tools
Bubbl.us - This is my go to site if I want students to create a mind map that is easily readable. It is easy to use and manipulate, plus they can download the JPEG and submit to me for grading. When they submit it to me, I can magnify the image and read everything without problem. If they were to print it, some of the text might be too small.
Text2MindMap - This one is very similar to Bubbl.us, but gives you the option of typing in your outline and then it creating the image for you. In all honesty, I have not tried this one out as much as I have the other, simply because the other one is working for me, in my classroom! By all means though, try BOTH and see which one you like better!
Connected Mind – This is a Chrome Webstore App and would need to be added when the student was logged in and using the Chrome Browser. For me, it was a little overwhelming and difficult to use, but it has SO MUCH potential. I believe it allows you to hyperlink and add images so that it can become more than just words on a screen. I am hopeful that one day I can devote some time to learning how to use it.
